I am a Chinese Archaeologist. Before coming to Cambridge, I completed my master degree at the Institute of Archaeology, UCL.  My research focuses on Sino-Hellenic comparison with the sustained interest in gender issues. I am currently looking at the construction of social identity in Early Iron Age Greek and Eastern Zhou Dynasty rich burials. Its primary purpose is to analyse how women’s social identity is constructed and how such construction changes according to socio-historical development and influence it in turn.

I am originally from Cyprus, and have a keen interest in the archaeology of religion and ethnicity. This interest has led me to study places from all over the world. My PhD Thesis focuses on the Hellenistic Far East regions of Bactria and Gandhara. I am looking specifically at the role of religion and its manifestations in urban landscapes, specifically with regards to religious hybridity and patronage, especially between Iranian, Hellenic and South Asian religious traditions.
